APPLICATION

Scagliola plaster is used in the production of plasters that have a highly polished finish.

It is suitable for manufacturing moldings and coffered ceiling panels and other large gypsum based products.

PREPARATION

Sprinkle the plaster on the surface of the clean water slowly and evenly until saturation. The water/powder ratio is 100/140. Let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes to ensure that all the cast will get wet evenly to avoid lumps and to allow the air bubbles out from the mixture. Then mix only the product to be used for the first phase, leaving the rest of the mixture alone until needed for the smoothing phase. Prepare the amount which will be used in 40 – 60 minutes (at temperatures of +20°C). Working time is reduced at higher temperatures.
